Tutor Group 'Get to Know'/Transition Booklet

Firstly, if you choose to download my resource(s), please take the time to leave a rating (as I know most of don’t really bother) - I do really value your feedback. This resource is designed to help you get to know students and for them to tell you more about them. It is a 4 page booklet with a title page and three activity pages. The first two pages provide opportunities for students to tell you a bit more about them, such as things they like, three words to describe them, their superpower, favourite food and colour etc. The second gives space for students to tell you things they want you to know, information and details about their family, school life, achievements and any questions they have for their form tutor that they may be to nervous to ask in front of a full class. The last page is designed to be an acrostic poem with your tutors name - ‘In 123 we are’, with the opportunity for students to fill in and decorate with a doodle border. This can be printed as a booklet with 2 pages on a page so it folds and flows as a 4 page booklet. The best way to print this is within the booklet settings of printer software/systems. It is also completely editable for you to customize to your school and needs etc. If you have any queries, questions or concerns, then please email allroundresources@gmail.com or sendisaunders@gmail.com or alternatively write a comment describing your needs, where I will be happy to help!

Firstly, if you choose to download my resource(s), please take the time to leave a rating (as I know most of don’t really bother) - I do really value your feedback. There is also space for lesson outcomes, specific questions that you want to pose/ask during the lesson, adaptive teaching opportunities (SEND, PP, EAL etc and Challenges for higher order/attaining thinking). There is also space for assessment for learning, do it now ans consolidation activities, lesson activities and class details, such as date, class, subject and lesson title or focus. This is also a quick way to reduce workload on planning and capture your thought for your lesson all on one easy to read and follow sheet - happy planning! SEN Learning Lesson Checklist (Now, Next, Then)

Firstly, if you choose to download my resource(s), please take the time to leave a rating (as I know most of don’t really bother) - I do really value your feedback. This resource is designed to support SEND/disadvantaged and low attaining students with their learning by visually breaking it down into small achievable chunks, in the form of now, next, then, which is research and evidence informed strategy. This resource also includes space to write the lesson outcomes and how the individual students will be able to achieve these, with additional space for them to reflect on their learning in the lesson. I have used this resource in the classroom for individual students who need some extra support/scaffolding and it is always well received. You can either print these (I print two to a page and the slide is set to A4) to be used by the individual and so they can stick in the books or print and them laminate to reuse again. The resource is editable to edit the subject and information etc. If you have any queries, questions or concerns, then please email allroundresources@gmail.com or sendisaunders@gmail.com or alternatively write a comment describing your needs, where I will be happy to help!

Peer Feedback Marking Slip

(0)
Firstly, if you choose to download my resource(s), please take the time to leave a rating (as I know most of don’t really bother) - I do really value your feedback. This resource is designed to support peer feedback in the classroom. The idea behind it is, you would write/display on the board the key things students should be looking for when taking part in peer feedback, such as key terms, structure, evaluative language, specific examples and quotes and lots more depending on your learning focus! You would then expect students to write these in the ‘What am I looking for?’ column and then as they read their peers work they would write the exact things (i.e. the exact key word, example, structure used etc) in the ‘What have I found column?’. This resource is great to enhance engagement and active learning in the classroom as students need to read their peers work in order to engage and complete the activity to provide specific examples rather than writing a generic comment in which they might not physically read the work. This also great for extended writing questions at GCSE/A Level etc. If you have any queries, questions or concerns, then please email allroundresources@gmail.com or sendisaunders@gmail.com or alternatively write a comment describing your needs, where I will be happy to help!

Learning Speeding Ticket

Firstly, if you choose to download my resource(s), please take the time to leave a rating (as I know most of don’t really bother) - I do really value your feedback. This resource is designed to support learners who often rush through their work without careful consideration of the task in hand. The resource is a speeding ticket in which you give to a student who needs to spend some more time on their work, reflecting on the suggestions of the teacher as indicated on the ticket. I then get students to stick the ticket in their work indicating that they have further spent time reflecting and enhancing their work. I issue these to students discreetly to limit other students seeing. This is also a highly effective way to implement adaptive teaching strategies as you can issue these to high or low attainers to support/enhance their focus on a particular task or aspect of their learning. If you have any queries, questions or concerns, then please email allroundresources@gmail.com or sendisaunders@gmail.com or alternatively write a comment describing your needs, where I will be happy to help!

At the bottom of the sheet is space to outline any further work students need to do as an enhancement activity, whether that be to redo some questions, research or revise a topic or explore key terms etc. This sheet can be printed off and written on as you work or typed into, which means you can share on a screen with students. PGCE/ITT Potential Questions Grid

Firstly, if you choose to download my resource(s), please take the time to leave a rating (as I know most of don’t really bother) - I do really value your feedback. ***** FOLLOW @AllRoundRes, to stay up-to-date with the latest resources and news! ***** #GetYourLearnOn I created this resources as part of my PGCE interview preparations for Religious Education and thought it would be useful to share for those who went through the same process as me as I know it is a very anxious and nerve racking experience. While, I this for a Secondary subject specific interview, the questions will remain the same regardless of subject or level, inc. primary, secondary and FE. Included in the grid are questions that I was asked and those which I found through research to be the most likely questions to be asked. Most of the time they key questions always asked are - why do you want to be a teacher, why do you want to teach this subject, a behavior management questions, a safeguarding question and a subject knowledge question as well as others which are included. So, it is a good idea to have a solid idea of how you would answer these questions and be prepared - remember you are showing them your potential as a teacher! I personally printed them and noted down some answers so I had a prompt when I was asked them. If you have an online interview (like I did because of COVID-19) then you could display them around your camera to prompt your responses but remember don’t stare at them or focus on them too long as you don’t want your interviewer thinking that you’re distracted. If you want to ask me any questions or would like advice, tips or ideas etc, with regards to PGCE or ITT interviews then please do not hesitate to get in touch either by the below contact or my Edu Twitter profile of @SENDISaundersRE where you can DM me. Good luck! It is a booklet of all the possible essay titles for the exam. The first page gives a summary of subject, with exam details and how students will be assessed when writing essays. There, is then an explanation of how this booklet should be used. After students, have revised the topic they should be pick a question to answer, to further expand on their knowledge and test themselves to see what they have learnt, by practically applying it to writing essays, as this is how they are assessed. To do this, they should, use a sheet of paper to do the ‘blurt’ method, and then print out and essay planner sheet (See shops!) to plan their essay. They should then write the essay and hand it to the teacher. or, alternatively, you can use this as a guide to form part of your revision plan, or timed essays in class after a topic is taught. For best use, print into a booklet and colour! But you can print in B&W.
